Kelsey answered “a personal trainer” and the next day she applied to the Faculty of Kinesiology and has never looked back.

Nate grew up in the mountains of northern BC where he became a true lover of the outdoors. He is an avid mountain biker, skier, and all around mountain guy. This unique lifestyle set the stage for a very accomplished high school athletic career as a soccer player, mountain biker, and wrestler. With wrestling as the catalyst, he developed a strong work ethic, determination, and confidence. This gave him the push to be accepted to one of Canada’s top kinesiology program at the University at Calgary. He also made the starting line up for the Dino’s Men’s Wrestling team.

Nate had two rewarding years for the Dino’s, competing at a provincial and national level at the 76kg (2005-06) and 82kg (2006-07). Competing for the Dino’s opened his eyes to the world of high performance training. At the forefront of this experience was his team’s Strength and Conditioning Coach, Kelsey Andries.

Today, Nate continues to fill his head with cutting edge knowledge as he finishes his degree in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. Although Nate decided to end his varsity wrestling career, he still enjoys high performance training and continues on “training like an athlete.” Instead of a sport specific focus, he has turned his attention to becoming as functional and fit as possible. More than anything he is excited to graduate so he can pursue his passion, being a personal trainer, on a full time basis.
